NF, Inc., in collaboration with Children’s
National Medical Center, conducts Camp New Friends, a summer camp for
those
affected by NF, in Buckeystown, Maryland. The next Camp New Friends is
currently being planned for July 13 - 19, 2008. Children 7 through 16
years of age,
with NF1 or NF2, are encouraged to apply as campers. Those 18 or older
may apply as Counselors or as Counselors-in-Training.

Out of State Volunteers/Parents of Campers:
NF Mid-Atlantic will coordinate airport arrivals and departures for volunteers
and campers. However, NF Mid-Atlantic must have a full itinerary, which
includes the following information:

Carrier Name (Southwest, Delta, United, etc.)
Flight #
Date and Time of Departure
Departure Airport
Name Departure Carrier Name

Additionally, when sending your child to camp, it is very important that
you limit the amount of luggage to two (2) bags. However, make sure there
is clean underwear and an extra change of clothes for each day.
